Introduction
In CSP Cost Analytics, you can view service usage of each CSP account; AWS, Azure, and GCP. This will provide detailed data of the service usage in one place.
View Service Usage
In Nimbus Stream users can view service usage of each CSP account. This will provide detailed data of the service usage to the users in one place. Follow these steps to view service usage of a CSP.
1. After logging in to Nimbus Stream, click on the Cost Analytics service.
2. On the Sidebar, you can click on AWS, Azure, or GCP for viewing the specific CSP Cost Analytics page.
3. On the next page, you will find the selected CSP cost analytics data are listed in a table. Click on the Show Columns button on the right and make sure the Usage Type, Usage Description, and Usage Amount are ticked with other necessary column such as Billing Account, Month, Year, Billing Entity, and Product Code. Click on the Save button if you have made changes.
4. Below is an example of the result for view usage per CSP. For downloading the data as a report, please refer to Download Cost Analytics Report.

View Service Usage for On-Demand Purchase Type
On-demand cost shows the total cost for the line item based on public On-Demand Instance rates. If we have SKUs with multiple On-Demand public costs, the equivalent cost for the highest tier is displayed. For example, services offering free-tiers or tiered pricing.
Follow these steps to view service usage of AWS for on-demand purchase type.
1. After logging in to Nimbus Stream, click on the Cost Analytics service.
2. On the Sidebar, you can click on AWS for viewing the AWS Cost Analytics page.
3. On the next page, you will find the AWS cost analytics data are listed in a table. Click on the Show Columns button on the right and make sure the On-Demand are ticked with other necessary column such as Billing Account, Month, Year, Billing Entity, Product Code, Usage Type, Usage Description, and Usage Amount. Click on the Save button if you have made changes.
4. On the filter, select On-Demand in the Group By field.
5. A new field On-Demand Cost will appear. Enter the cost range on the next two field.
6. Click on Filter button to execute the filter.
7. The below table will be updated as to your query. Below is an example of AWS view usage for on-demand purchase type. For downloading the data as a report, please refer to Download Cost Analytics Report.
View Service Usage for RI Effective Cost
Reserved Instance (RI) cost shows the sum of both the upfront and hourly rate of the RI, averaged into an effective hourly rate.
Follow these steps to view service usage of AWS for RI effective cost type.
1. After logging in to Nimbus Stream, click on the Cost Analytics service.
2. On the Sidebar, you can click on AWS for viewing the AWS Cost Analytics page.
3. On the next page, you will find the AWS cost analytics data are listed in a table. Click on the Show Columns button on the right and tick these columns: AWS Billing Account, Account ID, Region, Product Name, Item Type, Instance Type, Operating System, OnDemand Cost, and RI Effective Cost. Then click on the Save button.
4. You can set filter parameter based on desired column. Chose the Fields/Columns you want to filter in the Group By field. Fill in the parameter that will be filtered on Cost Report. Click on the Filter button. Below is an example.
5. The below table will be updated as to your query. Below is an example of AWS view usage for RI effective cost. For downloading the data as a report, please refer to Download Cost Analytics Report.
View Service Usage for SP Effective Cost
Savings Plan (SP) Effective Cost shows the proportion of the Savings Plan monthly commitment amount (upfront and recurring) that is allocated to each usage line.
Follow these steps to view service usage of AWS for SP effective cost type.
1. After logging in to Nimbus Stream, click on the Cost Analytics service.
2. On the Sidebar, you can click on AWS for viewing the AWS Cost Analytics page.
3. On the next page, you will find the AWS cost analytics data are listed in a table. Click on the Show Columns button on the right and tick these columns: AWS Billing Account, Account ID, Region, Product Name, Item Type, Instance Type, Operating System, OnDemand Cost, and SP Effective Cost. Then click on the Save button.
4. You can set filter parameter based on desired column. Chose the Fields/Columns you want to filter in the Group By field. Fill in the parameter that will be filtered on Cost Report. Click on the Filter button. Below is an example.

View Time Granularity Report
You can get a report based on defined criteria. Nimbus provide you with filter that based on the time (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly), cost, billing account, and other criteria that we get from CSP such as tag and environment. Follow these steps to view Time Granularity Report.
1. After logging in to Nimbus Stream, click on the Cost Analytics service.
2. On the Sidebar, you can click on AWS, Azure, or GCP for viewing the specific CSP Cost Analytics page.
3. On the next page, you will find a filtering tool. Fill in the parameters that will be filtered on the cost report. You can also select from your saved filter. If you don’t have one, you can create it refer to Save Filter.
4. In the Time Granularity field, you can select the time granularity that will be applied to the filter result between Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly.
5. Below are the examples of time granularity report for monthly result per CSP. For downloading the report, please refer to Download Cost Analytics Report.

Download Cost Analytics Report
Follow these steps to download Cost Analytics Report.
1. After logging in to Nimbus Stream, click on the Cost Analytics service.
2. On the Sidebar, you can click on AWS, Azure, or GCP for viewing the specific CSP Cost Analytics page.
3. On the next page, you will find the selected CSP cost analytics data are listed in a table. Below is an example of AWS cost analytics data.
4. Before downloading the report, make sure you have set the filter and the column to show as to your need.
5. For downloading the report, click on the Download icon button above the filter and choose the desired format between PDF and CSV.
6. After successful download, you can view the report. Below are the examples of AWS Cost Analytics Reports.
